Steven C. Nelson, Certified Financial Planner Born and reared in Iowa, Steven C. Nelson was raised to live according to conservative "heartland" values. Desiring a higher education with a Christian perspective, he attended John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, earning his B.S. degree in 1966. Married for 35 years, he and his bride Susan are the proud parents of two daughters and a grandson. The author and his wife make their home in Franklin, Tennessee. In 1974 he entered the financial services industry. In 1983 he received the prestigious Certified Financial Planner designation from the College of Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado. He has continued to meet the continuing education requirements every year. In addition to the CFP designation, he is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Insurance (Lic. #879370). He was licensed as a Registered Representative and as an Investment Advisor for several years during the 80s and 90s, and is currently registered as an Investment Advisor in the state of Tennessee. During the decade of the 90s, he created and developed the Family Estate Organizer and the website www.FamilyEstateTools.com. More recently he has written the Family Estate Financial Management Guide. He is president and owner of Family Estate Financial Management of Franklin, TN. He continues to serve clients throughout the USA, with their need for financial planning, estate organizing, estate planning and their ongoing need for monitoring and advice. Few in the financial services industry today have the perspective and understanding that only a seasoned veteran such as Mr. Nelson can offer.
