Steven C. Nelson, Certified Financial Planner Born and reared in Iowa, he was raised to live according to conservative “heartland” values. Desiring a higher education with a Christian perspective, he attended John Brown University, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, earning the B.S. degree in 1966. Married for 37 years, he and his bride, Susan, are the proud parents of two daughters and two grandsons. They make their home in Franklin, Tennessee. In 1974 he entered the financial services industry. In 1983 he received the Certified Financial Planner designation from the College of Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado. In addition to the CFP designation, he is a duly authorized Investment Advisor, registered with the State of Tennessee Securities Division. He was licensed as a Registered Representative and as an Investment Advisor for several years during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. During the decade of the 90’s, he created the Family Estate Organizer. More recently he has written the Family Estate Financial Management Manual and a free investment newsletter called the Family Estate Capital Growth Newsletter. He has also designed a helpful tool for projecting returns needed and amounts to save for retirement and college education costs. As president and owner of Family Estate Financial Advisors of Franklin, TN, he continues to serve clients throughout the USA, with their need for estate building, estate organizing, estate conservation, estate distribution, asset management, financial planning and their ongoing need for monitoring and advice.
